What 1-1 and Small Group Training is Available
l’m proud to present to you the opportunity to follow in the foot steps of the ‘legendary’ Bruce Lee. Arguably one of the best martial artists in the world. The Jeet Kune Do/Kali curriculum has been designed to progress through a structure that works on the principals and methodology of progressive training. My teachers are Guro Dan Inosanto and Sifu Rick Faye and through their teachings, I can promise you that this journey will be your enlightenment in the arts as was my own
Jeet Kune Do and Kali Training
Jeet Kune Do/Jun Fan Gung Fu is the training methods and techniques originally developed by Bruce Lee. Jeet Kune Do incorporates four ranges of defense: kicking, punching, trapping hands, and joint locking/grappling. Use of four ranges is unique – most styles practice only one or two ranges. Bruce Lee researched and experimented with methods from many systems of martial arts, using the essence of these arts in their given ranges. The methods had to be practical and economical, with no wasted motion. Some of the arts he drew from are: Wing Chun Kung Fu, Boxing, Fencing, Savate and Ju Jitsu.
Doce Pares Multi Style System
Doce Pares is actually the conglomeration of various styles that each founding Master brought into the organization when it was formed in 1932. There were those who favored the Corto (Close Range) while some had Medium or Long Range and even Espada Y Daga (Long and Short Blade) as their specialty. Each style complimented each other and it was indeed to the credit of the leaders of the group that despite the varying styles and principles, they managed to keep the organization intact for so long. Because of this, subsequent members or followers were naturally taught with the different styles that each original Master introduced.This is precisely the one reason that some people are misled even until now about the real style of Doce Pares. Through the years, some Masters have tried to put together and embody in one system these varying principles and styles, and this is what the Doce Pares System is about. Still, there are those who maintain partiality towards a specific type of style (i.e. Corto, Media Larga, Largo Mano, Espada y Daga) and yet still remain, highly regarded exponents of the system.
Jiu Jitsu Training
Jiu Jitsu is a practical and effective form of self-defence, which improves confidence, balance and co-ordination, as well as being great fun! You will learn to defend yourself from a wide range of attacks, including punches, kicks, strangles, grabs and weapons, using throws; joint locks and strikes. You don’t have to be fit or strong to start, these naturally improve with training. Training is fun and friendly and no previous experience is needed.
